The Pets Zone is a compact, easy-going animal enclosure that's become one of the most searched-for stops in Kevadia for families with young children. It's a deliberately smaller, gentler space you can fit into a sightseeing day without eating up hours, and it consistently ends up being the part kids ask to revisit.

  • Domestic animals — goats, sheep, mini cows, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs and miniature ponies.
  • Exotics — iguanas, macaws, cockatoos, ferrets and raccoons.
  • Guided, hands-on interaction sessions for select animals, run by the on-site keepers — which animals are available depends on their welfare needs that day.

Two Sessions a Day

Pets Zone Timings

The zone closes for a two-hour break in the middle of the day for animal welfare and maintenance — plan your visit around one of the two sessions below.

9 AM – 1 PM Morning Session

Last entry 12 PM. Generally the quieter of the two sessions.

3 PM – 6 PM Afternoon Session

Last entry 5 PM. Pairs well with an evening plan at the Statue.

The 1 PM–3 PM closure isn't a lunch break for staff — it's built in for the animals' rest and for enclosure cleaning, so it's worth planning around rather than arriving right at 1 PM expecting entry.

Meet the Animals

Domestic & Exotic Species

Domestic Animals

  • Goats and sheep, generally the most approachable animals for younger kids
  • Mini cows, a smaller breed kept specifically for this kind of close interaction
  • Chickens and ducks, in an open run near the entrance
  • Rabbits and guinea pigs, usually the most requested hands-on session
  • Turkeys and geese, sharing the open run with the chickens and ducks
  • Miniature ponies and Persian cats, two of the zone's smaller, calmer residents

Exotics

  • Iguanas, kept in a warm, glass-fronted enclosure
  • Macaws and cockatoos, colourful and usually the most photographed residents
  • Ferrets, active and curious, often part of the interaction sessions
  • Raccoons, a crowd favourite that draws a small queue of its own

Practical Visit Tips

Time It Right

Because it closes 1 PM–3 PM, build your visit into either the morning or afternoon block of your Kevadia itinerary rather than treating it as a spontaneous mid-day stop.

Wheelchair-Friendly

The zone is laid out as a flat, walking-only enclosure, which makes it easy for wheelchair users, elderly visitors and anyone who's already done a lot of walking that day.

Interaction Isn't Guaranteed for Every Animal

Guided hands-on sessions run for select animals only, based on keeper judgment that day. Treat it as a bonus rather than something to promise your kids in advance.

Good For Younger Kids

Short duration and low walking make this an easy add-on for toddlers who might struggle with a longer attraction like the Jungle Safari.
