Ekta Nursery
A working plant nursery born out of an idea from the Statue of Unity's own dedication — walk the growing beds, and take a sapling home with you.
A Nursery With A Real Origin Story
Most attractions around the Statue of Unity are landscaped to be looked at — Ekta Nursery is a bit different, since it's a working nursery that propagates and grows on plants the way any commercial nursery would, and just happens to be open to visitors. It sells its own plants and employs people from the surrounding villages, which gives it a slightly different feel from the purely ornamental gardens elsewhere in Ekta Nagar. If you like the idea of walking through rows of young plants at various growth stages — and maybe buying a sapling to take home — it's a worthwhile short stop.
What You'll Experience
Three things that make Ekta Nursery different from a typical garden visit.

Propagation & Growing Beds
Rows of plants at different growth stages, laid out the way a real working nursery is organised rather than for pure display.

The Sapling Stall
A small on-site stall selling saplings and potted plants grown right there — a genuinely useful souvenir if you're driving back.

A Community-Employing Nursery
Run with local village employment built into how it operates — a quieter, more grounded stop than the bigger tourist attractions nearby.
More Than Just Growing Beds
Ekta Nursery is bigger than a simple sapling stall — here's what else is on site.
Also On Site
- Ekta Handicrafts — live demonstrations of bamboo craft, areca-leaf plate and organic pot making

Who Runs It

Ekta Nursery is open Tuesday to Sunday, 9 AM to 6 PM, and closed every Monday. Tickets are ₹60 for adults and ₹30 for children.

Ekta Nursery isn't bundled into our Classic Day Package, but it sits close enough to the main Ekta Nagar sightseeing loop that most guests add it as a separate ticket on the same day. WhatsApp us and we'll build it into your plan.
