About Arogya Van

Where Kevadia Slows Down

Arogya Van — literally "forest of health" — is one of the quieter corners of the Statue of Unity complex, built around 17 acres of labelled medicinal and Ayurvedic plants rather than manicured flower beds. Part of its attached nursery stall is run by a local self-help group, so proceeds from saplings and herbal products go directly back into the community that maintains the garden. If you've spent the morning on the busier attractions nearby, it's a good place to deliberately slow the pace down for half an hour.

Inside the Garden

What You'll Experience

Three things worth slowing down for once you're inside.

Labelled medicinal plant beds at Arogya Van

The Medicinal Plant Trail

A winding path through beds of Ayurvedic and medicinal species, each one labelled with its common name and traditional use — worth a slow walk rather than a rushed one.

Labelled Plantings

Yoga & Meditation Corners

Shaded pavilions and open patches set aside for a stretch or a quiet sit, tying back to the garden's overall wellness theme.

The Community Nursery Stall

A small nursery corner run partly by a local self-help group, selling saplings and herbal products — a nice way to take a piece of the garden home.

500,000+ Plants, 380 Species

Arogya Van is home to more than 500,000 medicinal and Ayurvedic plants spanning roughly 380 species — one of the largest concentrations of medicinal flora anywhere in the Statue of Unity complex.

The Aushadh Manav

A standout feature inside the garden is the "Aushadh Manav" — a giant human-figure layout where medicinal plants are positioned to correspond with the body's organs, alongside an entry gate lined with Surya Namaskar posture statues.

Pairs With the Wellness Centre

If you want to go beyond the walk, the attached Arogya Van Wellness Centre next door offers Ayurvedic consultations and treatments.

Photography Notes

Handheld photography is fine, but drones and tripods aren't permitted anywhere on the Statue of Unity campus, Arogya Van included.

Arogya Van, meaning "forest of health," is a roughly 17-acre garden near the Statue of Unity dedicated to medicinal and Ayurvedic plants. It's laid out around a Yoga, Ayurveda and meditation theme, with shaded walking paths and labelled plant beds rather than the ornamental flower-bed style of a typical garden.

Arogya Van is open Tuesday to Sunday, 8 AM to 6:30 PM, with last entry at 6 PM. It's closed every Monday along with the rest of the Statue of Unity complex. Tickets are ₹50 for adults and ₹30 for children.

Most visitors spend 30 to 45 minutes here — enough time to walk the medicinal plant trail, sit for a few minutes in one of the shaded pavilions, and browse the nursery stall if it's open.

Yes — Arogya Van is one of the attractions bundled into our 2-Day Explorer Package alongside Vishwa Van and the Children's Nutrition Park. If you're only doing a single day, it can be added as a separate ticket on WhatsApp.

Yes. The paths are flat, well-shaded and easy to walk at a slow pace, which makes it one of the more comfortable stops in Ekta Nagar for older travellers who want a calmer break between the busier attractions.

Arogya Van holds more than 500,000 medicinal and Ayurvedic plants across roughly 380 species, including the distinctive "Aushadh Manav" — a giant human-figure layout where different plants are positioned to correspond with the body's organs.
